How Pokémon Go saved a fellow trainers life!

The story is from prairieterror21 whose a 41 year old Pokemon Trainer, whose learned from injury how amazing this game can actually be. While players continue to bad mouth the game, the game has only brought amazing things to this world.

It all started when prairieterror21 decided to pick up the game and play, while not soon after having to go through an emergency hysterectomy to help save his life just two weeks after starting to play this game. ” I Can’t lift anything, can’t go back to work, can’t stomach food. But I could play. I had severe post op depression and the only way to get me out of the house was to go play.” He said.

While just having an emergency hysterectomy and then later suffering from depression is a huge brick to get hit with at the same time. Now months after prairieterror21 is playing the game as his life starts to get better, the clouds start to lift and shortly after all of this is destroyed. Destroyed by a heartless robber who decided to point a gun in his face while setting up for a Halloween event at his work place. Just when things couldn’t get any worse, life gets worse? To me it sounded like our fellow trainer had some REALLY bad luck. Luckily our friend made it out alive after giving up the money even with having a gun cocked in his face. 

Now our friend continued his story around the time of election, which actually just passed this month. Our friend prairieterror21 is an active activist which he mentions in his reddit post, how his mother is is Mexican, while his dad is Pakistani. Obviously with the big racial uproar in America, this makes things difficult for his family.  To make things short he wasn’t too keen on knowing how to ease fear, while also not knowing how to feel about his surroundings, though he did know if he wanted to walk to find Snorlax, or try to hatch a Magnemite which he hilariously mentioned how Magnemite is the most difficult Pokemon for him to catch, He knew even with all of this going on that if he went outside to catch some Pokemon he’d  have a few moments to clear his head and brace himself for the next stressful event.
