Trainer Walks 100km With Golbat To See If Crobat Is Secretly Available

Hey all, according to The Sliph Road on Reddit a Pokémon Go player under the name of Kami_Ouija, has walked 100km with his/her Golbat buddy Pokémon just to see if Crowbat was secretly available.

First of all don’t get too excited because as expected nothing happened, but Kami had to still try it despite generation two not yet being available officially.

For those who don’t understand why Kami had this theory, well it is because in the generation two Pokémon games of the past, Golbat would only complete its evolution into Crowbat when it has obtained the maximum level of happiness.

While happiness itself could only be obtained and increased by levelling up and most importantly for this theory, walking more with a specific Pokémon in the first slot.

So because of this Kami felt that if Golbat was to walk alongside him/her until it reaches its maximum level, then it may evolve further if Crowbat was hidden in the gameUltimately this was proven by none other than Kmai him/herself that this is currently impossible.

Also one would argue that it all was a pointless experiment in the first place as if Crowbat was available and simply just hidden inside the game somewhere, then someone would have already stumbled upon files within the game containing Crowbat by now as well.

But it may not have beena complete waste of time, as when generation two does come out Kami would already have a maxed out a Golbat and in theory be able to make it evolve immediately into Crowbat.

So for those who want Crowbat badly then its sadly still a little early and so, I don’t suggest walking 100km with Golbat as there are a number of other Pokémon out there you can do that with, and get more value out of your time.
