Pokémon Go: Player Celebrates After 100 Day Rein Over A Gym

Now there have been many stories of Pokémon Go trainers who have been able to take over a gym and stay there for weeks on end, but this one case beats them all.

According to The Sliph Road on Reddit, Pokémon Go player under the Reddit name of Earx has accomplished what many others could not, and that’s rein supreme over a gym for 100 days consecutively.

This feat is equally as incredible as it ridiculous, because it means no other team has been able to take down this gym since the early days of Pokémon Go. If you go back 100 days you will find that Earx has managed to keep his Pokémon in that gym since the 13th of August.

During this time Pokémon Go was still fairly new and had an even larger following than what it does now, with everyone talking about and playing Niantic’s game.

Therefore this player has managed to survive the Pokémon Go hype and then keep his/her spot until now, but that would also mean Earx must have had a pretty strong Pokémon since the early days and so I cant even imagine what they have now.

According to Earx the gym is located close to city but there is no mention of which city this is in, so don’t take this as a challenge because we have no idea where this gym is.

However, we do know that the gym has been level 10 for most of the time but it has been constantly taken down to level 6 or 7, before being trained back up to level 10 again.

Most players may assume that Earx must live in a pretty unbalanced area with minimal opposing challengers, which does make sense but according to Earx that’s untrue.

Earx has stated that it’s actually a very balanced area with unlike other areas, not having  gyms being dominated by mostly by team Mystic and Valour, and instead also have a lot of team Instinct as well.

So there you have it, someone out there has managed to hold their spot in a gym for 100 days and therefore showing us that anything is possible.

How long have you ever held a gym for? Has anyone beaten this 100 day streak? Please let us know in the comments below.
